A Festival of Light gives new meaning to Hanukkah by celebrating 8 core human values — one for each night. But more than that, it creates a framework from which to fill those 20 minutes with meaningful and joyous conversations that will last a lifetime.
Last December, we held a number of town hall events at temples and museums across Los Angeles. Using a series of prompts from the book — ideas, images and music — we watched strangers come together to create community while discussing what these values meant to them.
