50% of proceeds to help war victims

50% of proceeds to help war victims

The recent attacks by Hamas and the retaliation by Israel have left us feeling that our mission to promote the human values we all share is more important than ever.

And it's important that we act on those values, not just talk about them.

That's why, for the rest of October, 2023, we are donating 50% of our proceeds (yes, that's all of our profit and more) to the International Committee of the Red Cross, providing immediate disaster relief to the victims of this horrifying conflict.

The ICRC has been helping victims in Israel and the occupied territories — working closely with both the Magen David Adom and the Red Crescent — since 1967.

Our book, A Festival of Light, ties the celebration of Hanukkah (December 7-14 this year) to eight core human values: Faith, Freedom, Courage, Love, Charity, Integrity, Knowledge and, perhaps most important right now, Peace.

It helps families create deep and memorable conversations, and brings new meaning to a holiday that's traditionally been mainly about dreidels and latkes.

We hope that Charity is one of your values, too, and that you'll help us spread the word by sharing this email, or by ordering copies of our book for your Hanukkah gifts this year, knowing you're also helping thousands of victims find Courage, Love, Freedom and — soon — Peace.
